Glastonbury 2027 car parking: passes, prices and arriving

How to get a Glastonbury 2027 car park pass: the price, buying it with your balance, who can't, sharing a car, and the festival's advice on arriving and leaving.

If you're driving to Glastonbury 2027, you need a car park pass. For 2027 it costs £60, plus £3 postage where bought separately, and you buy it when you pay your ticket balance, between 1 and 7 April 2027. Passes are only for general admission ticket holders, not ticket and coach packages, and they can't be passed on or resold.

This guide covers how to buy a pass, who can't use a general one, what a group sharing a car should agree, and the festival's own advice on arriving and leaving by car. The 2027 prices and rules come from the festival's information page, checked on 28 October 2026. Where advice is from an earlier festival, we say which year.

How to buy a pass in the balance window

The festival says car park passes are available when you pay the remaining ticket balance in the first week of April 2027, and that you can't book one until you've paid the balance for at least one ticket on your booking. So the order is:

  1. Pay the balance for at least one ticket on the booking, between 9am on Thursday 1 April and 11.59pm on Wednesday 7 April 2027, UK time.
  2. Add the car park pass to the booking. It's an extra for general admission bookings only.
  3. Keep it with your tickets. The festival says passes are sent out with your festival tickets, unless they were booked separately.

The postage charge in the table above only applies where a pass is bought separately. The festival doesn't spell out what counts as separately, but adding the pass while you pay the balance is the route it describes. Everything else about that week, from postage to Refund Protection, is in paying the 2027 balance.

Who can't use a general pass

Accessible and Blue Badge parking

If you need accessible or Blue Badge parking, you apply for it through the festival's Access Application, by contacting the Accessibility Team to request the form. Accessible parking costs the same as a general pass: £60, plus £3 postage where bought separately.

The festival says the Accessible Car Park is reached through the Yellow Gate on the west of the site. It's only for festival goers with access requirements who have completed the online Access Application Form, and its parking tickets can only be bought through the festival's Access Team. Spaces are limited, so friends and family arriving in separate vehicles can't use it.

In its 2025 advice, the festival said that if you have a Blue Badge but aren't pre-registered for the Accessible Car Park, you should display the badge clearly next to your official parking ticket as you enter the public car parks, and stewards would direct you to the forward parking, which may still be some distance from the gates. You still needed an official parking ticket. The form, its dates and the deadline are in going to Glastonbury with access requirements.

Campervans, caravans and the friends who drive separately

A campervan or caravan pitch is a separate ticket, not a car park pass, and live-in vehicles go in their own fields. Only one car is permitted on a campervan pitch, so friends arriving separately can't drive into the campervan fields. The festival says they need a car park ticket for the public car parks, or to come by public transport, and then walk to the campervan fields through the pedestrian gates.

With a caravan, there's space for the towing vehicle beside or in front of it, except in the Wicket Ground accessible campervan field, where the towing car has to be moved to the Accessibility Car Park. Anyone else in your party arriving by car needs a car parking ticket for the public car parks. Sleeping in vehicles in the car parks is not allowed. Pitch prices and sale dates are in campervans, Worthy View and tipis.

Sharing a car as a group

The festival asks drivers to share lifts and fill the seats in their car, which also shares the cost of fuel. The pass itself is a sticker for the car's windscreen. A few things to agree before the balance window opens:

Here's how the cost works out if every pass is bought with the balance (the postage charge only applies to a pass bought separately):

GroupPassesTotalEach
Four friends in one car1£60£15
Four friends in two cars2£120£30
Two friends in one car1£60£30

Arriving by car

The festival's detailed arrival and parking advice on its information page is still the advice it gave for 2025, the last festival. It says to check its website for the latest travel news, so look again nearer June. For 2025, it said:

Its directions, which give no year, say to approach the site from the side you want to park on, using main roads well away from the site. Your satnav only takes you to the start of the festival signs, so follow those as soon as you see them. The festival also says to have your parking ticket clearly on display once you're within ten miles of the site, so you're directed to the right car park, and to have your festival ticket to hand. Put the sticker on the windscreen well before you get there. There's no camping in the car parks.

Once you've parked

This is also from the festival's 2025 advice:

Leaving on Monday

In 2025 the festival said the worst time to leave by car was Monday between 8am and 5pm, with delays of up to 9 hours to get out of the car parks. Its advice was to leave between 1am and 7am on Monday if you can, and to take plenty of water and food in case you queue.

The festival licence ran until 5pm on Monday, and the festival said there would be no security on the car parks after that, so plan to be gone by then. Make sure you're fit to drive before you set off.

Electric cars

In its 2025 advice, the festival said Worthy Farm has limited capacity for charging, so charge before you arrive, with enough for the journey home. As a rule of thumb, if you had less than 50 miles of charge as you approached the site, it said to charge up first. Local charge points would be busy, and those in Pilton village wouldn't be open to the public. For 2025 there was a limited, paid emergency charging service at Bronze car park only, which couldn't be guaranteed.

Being dropped off instead

If someone is driving you there but not staying, the festival asks them not to drop you on local roads or near vehicle gates, which is dangerous. Use its Drop and Collect point to the east of the site instead, with a bus to Pedestrian Gate A. It opens from 9am on the Tuesday before the festival until 8pm on the Monday after.

If things go wrong

What we couldn't confirm

The festival's pages don't say how many people one pass covers. The car parking section says passes are sold with the balance, but the booking section of the same page also lists car parking passes among the optional extras you can add when booking, so ask See Tickets if you need one at another time. In 2025, car park tickets could also be added when buying a general admission ticket in the resale; the 2027 resale details haven't been announced. The 2027 arrival times and traffic advice haven't been published yet.
