Got a Glastonbury ticket? What to do between now and June
A month by month list for the time between booking and the festival: paying the balance, parking, access applications, keeping your details up to date and getting your ticket.
Getting through the queue is the hard part, but a deposit isn't a ticket yet. Between booking in the autumn and the gates opening in June there are a few things every person in your group needs to do, and one deadline that cancels tickets if it's missed.
Straight after booking
- Keep the confirmation. Save the confirmation email and screenshot the order reference. Forward it to the group.
- Tell everyone they're booked, and who booked them. People need to know whose booking they're in for the balance and for any questions later.
- Settle the deposits between you. See buying tickets for a group for a simple way to split them.
- Put the balance window in everyone's calendar. For 2027 it's 9am on Thursday 1 April to 11.59pm on Wednesday 7 April, UK time.
If someone needs access facilities
There are no separate access tickets: everyone books the normal way, then applies for access facilities after getting a ticket. For 2027 the link to the Access Application Form is available from the end of November 2026, and you request it from the festival's Accessibility Team. Facilities can reach capacity, so apply early. Our access guide explains the Access Pass and the personal assistant scheme.
Over the winter
- Check the card you'll pay the balance with won't expire before April. If it was the card you paid the deposit with, that matters for refunds too.
- Start putting money aside. The 2027 balance is £308 per ticket plus postage. From October to April that's roughly £50 a month.
- Decide how you're getting there. If you're driving, agree who's buying the parking pass, which is sold during the balance window. If you're thinking about the coach, note that coach places come as ticket and coach packages in their own sale, not as add-ons to a general admission ticket. See coach tickets.
- Keep your email address working. Reminders and updates go to the email on your booking and registration.
Your photo is now locked
Once a booking is linked to your registration, you can't change your photo. That's why the festival tells everyone to update photos before the sale. If your appearance changes a lot before June, it's worth contacting See Tickets for advice rather than assuming it'll be fine at the gate, because the ticket shows your registered photo.
The balance window
In the first week of April the balance has to be paid for every ticket. The festival and See Tickets send reminders, but it's your responsibility. In 2025 the balance page also let people change the delivery address for their tickets and add car parking and refund protection. Changing the registered email address needed a separate request to See Tickets.
If a balance isn't paid by the end of the window, that ticket is cancelled. In 2025 the deposit was refunded to the original card minus a £25 administration fee. The ticket then goes into the spring resale. See deposits and balance payments.
If someone can't go
Tickets carry the holder's photo and can't be transferred, so a friend can't take someone's place. The person who can't go should look at the cancellation terms for their year: in recent years tickets could be cancelled for a refund minus an administration fee until a cut-off in early May, after which they became non-refundable. Their friend's best route is the spring resale, with their own registration.
In the spring
- If some of your group still need tickets, get ready for the resale.
- Watch for the line-up announcements and the festival's information on travel, camping and what you can bring.
- Make sure the delivery address for your tickets is right.
Before the festival
General admission tickets are posted to the address on the booking, and coach passengers are given their festival tickets on the coach. Keep everyone's tickets safe, and agree how they'll get to each person before travel day. Remember that each ticket shows its holder's photo, so you can't swap tickets between yourselves.
