Guides Before the sale

How many Glastonbury tickets can you buy? Every limit explained

How many Glastonbury tickets one person can buy: 6 in the main sale, 4 in the 2025 resale, the coach, local and Sunday limits, one ticket each, and children.

In the main Glastonbury sale you can buy up to 6 tickets in one booking: your own and up to five for other people. Each person can only have one ticket, and everyone you book needs their own registration. Some sales have lower limits: up to 4 in the 2027 local resident sale, and in the 2025 resale up to 4 general admission tickets or 2 ticket and coach packages per booking.

This page puts every limit in one place, with the year each one comes from, so you can plan your group before the next sale. The facts come from the festival's information page, its 2027 ticket announcement and its 2025 sale and resale FAQs, read in full on 5 November 2026.

The 2027 main sales were in October 2026 and sold out, and the local and Sunday sales were on 1 November 2026. The next chance for most people is the spring 2027 resale, whose limits haven't been announced, so plan with the 2025 figures until they are.

One ticket per person, always

To stop touting, the festival says it permits a maximum of one ticket per person, in groups of up to 6 tickets per transaction. Any duplicate orders are cancelled, and the buyer is refunded less the administration fee. The 2025 resale FAQ put the same rule simply: you can only book one ticket per registration.

In practice that means:

How registration works, and what to check for each friend, is in how to register for Glastonbury.

Do children count towards the six?

For festival tickets, only from 13. The festival says children aged 12 and under don't need tickets and don't register, so they don't need a festival ticket in the booking. Everyone aged 13 or over on the Wednesday the festival opens needs a registration and a full ticket, and 13 to 15 year olds are booked on the TEEN ticket option, so they take one of the six places.

Children aged 12 and under still need their own seat on a ticket and coach package. The festival says to book these as additional coach seats while making your ticket and coach booking, or, if the seats aren't available then, to contact the See Tickets coach team after booking (standard fares apply). It doesn't say whether these extra seats count towards the 6 ticket limit. More is in taking children to Glastonbury.

Ticket and coach packages

The coach sale has the same top limit of 6 per transaction, with one extra rule: you choose one departure town and one departure day for the whole group, and can't mix options in one booking. The festival says you can only book from one destination and in one time period per transaction.

In the 2025 resale, coach packages were limited to 2 tickets per transaction, which the festival said reflected the limited number of seats available per coach. Everything else about coach packages is in coach tickets.

The resale: smaller bookings, paid in full

The resale is where the lower limits matter most. In the 2025 general admission resale you could book up to 4 tickets per transaction: the lead booker plus up to 3 other people. In the coach resale it was the lead booker plus 1. The festival also says tickets bought in resales after 8 April 2027 must be paid for in full when you book, so four tickets at £408 is £1,632 on one card, plus postage.

Dates and what to expect are in the 2027 resale.

Local resident and Sunday tickets

These had their own limits for 2027: up to 4 local full weekend tickets per transaction, and up to 6 Sunday tickets, and in both cases everyone in the booking had to live in the qualifying area. Who could book is in local resident tickets and Sunday tickets.

Campervans, accommodation and tipis

For 2027, a maximum of one campervan or caravan ticket can be booked per transaction, so a group bringing two campervans needs two separate campervan bookings. Campervan tickets are only for general admission ticket holders: you can't add one to a ticket and coach booking.

Worthy View and Sticklinch let you book up to 2 units of accommodation per booking. A tipi holds up to 6 adults, but it doesn't include festival tickets: everyone staying in it needs a valid festival ticket of their own. So a tipi for six still means six tickets from the main sale or the resale. More is in campervans, Worthy View and tipis.

How many bookings does your group need?

Divide your group by the limit and round up. Using 6 for the main sale and the 2025 figure of 4 for the resale:

People who need ticketsMain sale bookingsResale bookings
411
612
822
1023
1223

Count only people aged 13 or over. This is why bigger groups split into booking groups and agree who books whom. How to do that is in the Glastonbury syndicate guide.

Postage: one charge per order

Postage and packing is £11.25 per order of up to 6 tickets, charged when you pay the balance, so one booking of six pays it once. But if people pay their balances separately, each separately paid ticket is processed as a single booking and pays the postage charge itself.

Questions people ask

Can I buy a ticket for someone who isn't registered?

No. You need their registration number and registered postcode to book them, and registration is closed until later in the autumn, the festival says. Without it, they can't be in any booking.

Can two of us book the same friend, just in case?

Don't. The festival cancels duplicate orders, and refunds them less the administration fee. Agree beforehand who books whom, and post in the group chat the moment a booking goes through.

Is there a limit in the accessible campsite?

Yes, for camping rather than tickets: the festival says each registered access customer may camp with up to three additional people, and PAs and children aged 13 or over count towards that. See going to Glastonbury with access requirements.

What we couldn't confirm

The festival hasn't announced the 2027 resale limits yet: the figures above are from 2025, and we'll update this guide when the 2027 resale details are published. Its pages don't give a limit on car park passes per booking.
