Glastonbury 2027 local resident tickets: who qualifies and how to book

Glastonbury's 2027 local full weekend ticket sale: the inner and outer zone towns, sale times, the deposit and balance, proof of address and what happens next.

Glastonbury holds back some full weekend tickets for people who live near the festival, as a second chance for local residents who missed out in the October sales. For 2027 they went on sale on Sunday 1 November 2026 on glastonbury.seetickets.com: from 9am on Sunday 1 November 2026 for the inner zone only, then from 10am on Sunday 1 November 2026 for the inner and outer zones. Bookers paid a £100 deposit per ticket and pay the £308 balance in April, with up to 4 tickets per booking. When we checked the festival's information page on the afternoon of 1 November 2026, it still listed the sale times and hadn't said how the sale went or whether any tickets were left.

It wasn't a general sale. Everyone in a booking must be a full time, permanent resident registered within the catchment, and the festival may ask for proof of address. This guide covers who qualified, the costs, the checks after booking and what can go wrong. Everything comes from the local tickets section of the festival's information page, read in full again on 1 November 2026. Residents of a wider area had a separate one day ticket sale (see below).

Who qualifies: the inner and outer zones

The festival splits the local area into two zones, so the people most likely to be affected by the festival get the first chance. Residents of the inner zone could book from 9am. At 10am the sale opened to the outer zone, and inner zone residents could still book too.

Inner zone (from 9am): Croscombe, Doulting, East Pennard, Glastonbury, North Wootton, Pilton, Pylle, Shepton Mallet, West Bradley and West Pennard.

Outer zone (from 10am): Alford, Allhampton, Ansford, Ashcott, Ashwick, Baltonsborough, Barton St David, Binegar, Butleigh, Castle Cary, Coleford, Cranmore, Dinder, Ditcheat, Emborough, Evercreech, Holcombe, Leigh-upon-Mendip, Lovington, Lydford, Oakhill, Stoke St Michael, Street, Walton and Wells, plus everyone in the inner zone.

The information page also has a map of the eligible areas. The festival decides where the boundary lines fall, and its decision on eligibility is final. If you live in a new build property (less than 3 years old) within the area, the festival asks you to contact it to check that you're eligible.

Living in the area isn't quite enough on its own. The festival's wording is that everyone you book for must be a full time, permanent resident registered within the local catchment area at the time you make the deposit and balance payments. So the address on each person's Glastonbury registration matters, at both payments.

Local full weekend or Sunday ticket?

The same morning ended with a separate sale of one day tickets for a wider area, at 11am on Sunday 1 November 2026. They have their own price, travel rules and booking limit, so they're covered in their own guide: Glastonbury Sunday tickets. This guide is about the full weekend ticket, which covers the whole festival, Wednesday 23 to Sunday 27 June 2027.

Registration: why you couldn't register for this sale

To make sure the local tickets only went to genuine local residents, the festival suspended registration before and throughout the sale. Anyone not already registered within the catchment couldn't book tickets in this sale. Registration closed at 5pm on Friday 25 September 2026, and the festival says it will reopen later in the autumn.

Every person aged 13 or over needed their own valid registration number. If you booked, keep each person's registered address in the catchment: the festival asks for that at the balance payment too. How registration works is in how to register for Glastonbury.

What a booking costs: worked examples

In the local sale you paid only the £100 deposit per ticket on the day. The £308 balance per ticket, which includes the £5 booking fee, is due from 1 to 7 April 2027, with one £11.25 postage and packing charge per order. A full ticket comes to £408.

BookingPaid on 1 NovemberPaid in April (with postage)Total
Two people£200£627.25£827.25
Three people£300£935.25£1,235.25
Four people£400£1,243.25£1,643.25

If the balance for a ticket isn't paid, the festival refunds £75 of its deposit and keeps a £25 admin fee per ticket. How the April window works, and how to save for it, is in deposits and balance payments.

What the festival asked for when booking

When booking, the festival asked bookers to quote, for each person:

Bookers also needed a debit or credit card number, with the security number from the back, and the ticket delivery address, including the postcode. If you booked, keep proof of address to hand for everyone in the booking, such as a driving licence, in case the festival asks (see below).

Children and teenagers

Children aged 12 and under are admitted free when they come with a ticket holding adult, and don't need a ticket. Anyone aged 13 or over on the day the gates open needs their own ticket and registration. The children section of the information page says that when you book a ticket for a 13, 14 or 15 year old you choose the TEEN ticket option, and that under 16s must come with a responsible adult aged 18 or over. More is in taking children to Glastonbury.

Checks after you book

Booking isn't the end of the eligibility check. The festival may ask for proof of address for everyone in your party, a valid driving licence being its example, and a booking may be cancelled if that evidence isn't satisfactory. Tickets bought using false information will be cancelled. A household booking for a friend who lives just outside the boundary risks the whole booking, not only that one ticket, so keep each booking to people who qualify.

Refunds and other rules

The local tickets section says all the usual festival ticket terms and conditions apply, and that tickets are strictly non-transferable. The information page's refund deadline is 11.59pm on 7 May 2027, with a £25 charge kept from each refunded ticket. The details are in Glastonbury ticket refunds.

Only buy from glastonbury.seetickets.com. A ticket from anyone else carries someone else's photo and won't get you in: see how to spot Glastonbury ticket scams.

If things go wrong

What we couldn't confirm

The festival doesn't say how many local tickets there are. The local tickets section doesn't describe the queue, so we can't say whether it worked like the October sales' queue. When we checked on the afternoon of 1 November 2026, the festival hadn't said how the sale went. The local tickets section doesn't mention Refund Protection; elsewhere the information page says Refund Protection is available to book when paying your ticket balance. We'll update this guide if the festival publishes more.
